History
With 3 locations - in Victoria, Nanaimo and Campbell River - Dodd’s Furniture & Mattress has become Vancouver Island's largest independent furniture retailer. Family-owned & locally-operated since 1977, Mr. Gordy Dodd is best known for his one-of-a-kind TV commercials, it's his on-going commitment to helping others that he is most proud of.
Community Support
Dodd’s Management & Staff recognize the importance of giving back. We held our first Thanksgiving Dinner for those less fortunate in 1998, and it's become an annual tradition ever since.
Gordy also hosts a number of fundraisers on behalf of local non-profit groups, amateur sports teams, schools and registered charities coordinating relief efforts whenever natural disasters strike around the world.
In 2019, Mr. Dodd was honoured with the Governors' Lifetime Achievement Award by the Greater Victoria Chamber of Commerce.
