Kick Off: Saturday, March 19th from 9AM-6PM

Dodd’s Furniture & Mattress is proud to partner with The Ukrainian Canadian Cultural Society of Vancouver Island, Soap for Hope and HeroWork for this incredible fundraising initiative!

Gordy Dodd is pleased to be able to a part of this opportunity as well. As he says: “We want to help, we want to do our part.” He continued, “We can be locals helping locals, abroad”.

“The Ukrainian Canadian Cultural Society has become a beacon of hope. A place that we can all rally around as neighbours, family or just as humanitarians to give and help,” added Love Dodd.

In usual Gordy fashion, there is nothing understated about his wanting to bring attention to such a worthy and important cause. This Saturday, March 19 at Dodd’s Furniture and Mattress in Victoria, he’s come up with another one of his mastermind ideas to draw attention to the mission.

Gordy Dodd kicks things off from high atop Dodd’s parking lot – that’s correct – he’ll be going up in a scissor lift, high above the ground at Dodd's Victoria to draw attention and raise donations that will help fill a shipping container full of items destined for the Compassionate Resource Warehouse and the Ukrainian Community here and at home.

“We are overwhelmed and sincerely humbled by Gordy’s generosity. We look forward to working together in support of Ukrainian refugees, as they begin to arrive in the coming weeks.” Ukrainian Canadian Congress, Victoria Branch.

Dodd’s will be accepting donations of soap, socks, shampoo, sleeping bags & more at Dodd’s Furniture & Mattress locations in Victoria, Nanaimo & Campbell River starting with Gordy’s kick-off on Saturday, March 19th until April 3rd, 2022.
